Julian “Keyz” Thomas is a 20 year old phenom who has all the right ingredients to be the entertainment industry’s next big star. Julian is a Chicago native, with an impressive stat sheet that includes performing live at President Barack Obama’s Inauguration, singing the National Anthem at events nationwide, writer member for SESAC, and a ready catalog of 200 potential hit songs.

This young multi-talented entertainer is a musician, producer, songwriter, singer, dancer, actor, humanitarian and businessman who possesses the necessary 3c’s(creativity, consistency and commitment) required to take his brand to new heights.

Julian was introduced to music at the age of eight, inspired by the late Tupac Shakur. Julian was impressed by the realness and fearlessness with which Tupac expressed himself. This impression manifested in rebellious behavior which led his parents to have to come up with creative forms of discipline. Julian’s parents had him write essays and give oral presentations addressing his negative behavior and this became his method of self expression. What started out as a disciplinary tool eventually catapulted Julian on his journey to becoming a prolific writer and orator.

Recognizing Julian’s potential, and in an effort to keep Julian focused his parents then introduced piano lessons, vocal lessons and eventually dance to the arsenal. By the age of 10 Julian had penned and recorded his first song “Stay In School”and then went on to write numerous other songs. Julian’s ever growing dance skills also gave him the opportunity to dance at the United Dance Center, with an audience of more than 20,000 Chicago Bulls Fans, for three consecutive seasons as one of the original dancers of “Bullz Kidz”.

By age 13 Julian’s developing skills were becoming undeniable and his command of the piano had become recognized by the local press and he was dubbed a “Real Showman” and gained the moniker of “Keyz”. While performing his weekly show at a local McDonalds, he was scouted by a talent coordinator from the Apollo. Next thing Julian knew he was performing at the world famous Apollo Theater and found himself a three time “Amatuer Night” winner gaining him the title of “Super Top Dog”.

Julian was asked to perform and entertain supporters for Presidential Candidate Barack Obama at a voters rally in Illinois at age 14. He instantly wowed the crowd with his energetic live performance. Four years later in 2013 he was again invited to be part of the political celebration with the re-election of President Barack Obama. This time around Julian found himself in Washington, DC and performed as a featured artist at one of the Official Inaugural Balls.

Julian decided to take more control of his creative process and started working as a music producer by age 14. He began working with established producers in Chicago and the buzz about him spread to Atlanta and Los Angeles, and by age 15 he was asked to join the SESAC family as a writer and publisher. SESAC also featured him in their magazine noted Julian’s positive messages in his music was also reflected in his life.

It is not often that we find such a young superstar with core Christian values and morals in today’s society, who desires to make a positive impact on today’s youth by giving back through his passions. Whether through his own non-profit Keyz II L.I.F.E, working with The Boys & Girls Club, performing or speaking at community centers, charities and fundraisers. He shares his various talents and touches peoples lives through his record label, his ever growing music catalog, his music videos, live performances, radio or television appearances, motivational speeches or his inspirational blog.

Currently Julian is fresh off the red carpet movie premiere for his starring role in the film “Escapement”, in which one of his songs “It Starts With A Dream” is also featured. When Mr. Keyz is not on a whirlwind of publicity tours, or pushing his demo for a label and/or publishing deal, he is in Los Angeles putting the final touches on his debut album. He recently released a music video for his song “Gone” which is already gaining a large audience and rave reviews.
